What is Keychange?

Keychange Keychange is an international movement advocating for greater gender equality in the music industry. The initiative supports underrepresented genders, particularly FLINTA, through mentoring, training programs, networks, and policy work.

Keychange was launched by PRS Foundation (UK), the Reeperbahn Festival (Germany) and Musikcentrum Öst (Sweden). Since 2023, Keychange ASBL, headquartered in Brussels, has coordinated the European program. Its partners include festivals, educational institutions, and industry organizations from across Europe.

With our Keychange Pledge, we reaffirm our commitment to gender equity in the music and creative industries. What does this mean in practice?

We actively work to make underrepresented genders, especially FLINTA individuals, more visible, to support them, and to provide access to new opportunities in the music and creative sectors. In doing so, we contribute to a diverse, future-driven, and innovative industry landscape.
